The Bristol Technology Festival, 10-15 October 2021, will showcase one of Europe’s leading tech communities, which includes Bristol-based Clue Computing. The Festival was born in 2019 with a mission to showcase the sheer scale of technology that had been developed in the local ecosystem, whilst sharing the stories of those entrepreneurs, engineers, and creatives behind the tech with the people of the city and further afield.

Bristol has a long-standing history of tech innovation, and the ecosystem is booming, with the most productive tech talent in the UK (TechNation 2019). Bristol is the only ‘globally significant, fast-growing’ tech cluster in the UK according to Centre for Cities/McKinsey.

Combatting a myriad of threats

Clare Elford, Managing Director, Clue Computing said: “Clue Computing is privileged to provide investigation case management and intelligence software to government agencies, police, corporate, sport, and non-profit organisations around the world. Our SaaS solution enables those on the front line tackling a wide range of criminal activity and wrongdoing to be more effective at their jobs and counter the threats they are tasked with tackling. Clue is very proud to be part of the Bristol technology community and we are excited to sponsor this year’s Bristol Technology Festival.

“The SaaS industry was growing rapidly even before Covid, and that growth is accelerating as companies continue to adapt to new ways of working. There are many opportunities for people looking to work in SaaS business, but not so many in companies that make such a difference to society and the sustainability of our planet by helping organisations that combat a whole host of threats, including to national and individual security and the environment.”

Team expansion planned

Russell Gould, Head of Product, Clue Computing said: “It’s a pleasure to lead the Clue product team who are all deeply passionate about helping our customers make the world a safer and more secure place. We have expanded the team and have lots of exciting development in the pipeline that mean we will be further growing the team and I’m looking forward to bringing more highly skilled people into Clue. There’s a lot of talent in the Bristol area and the Bristol Technology Festival is a great opportunity to engage with the tech community.”
